||ProaSense addresses the challenge of designing an innovative and comprehensive approach to proactive intelligence, information management, problem solving and decision support. It aims to address several issues in the application of proactive intelligent information technologies and information visualisation of large amounts of data, the definition and monitoring of the contextual factors of decision making procedures, the efficient implementation of proactive intelligence environments within enterprise organisational structures and the application of socially-aware collaboration environments, and networks within enterprise environments.

||NRG4Cast – energy forecasting is developing real-time management, analytics and forecasting services for energy distribution networks in urban/rural communities. The project is analysing information regarding network topology and devices, energy demand and consumption, environmental data and energy prices data. |SYMPHONY: Orchestrating Information Technologies and Global Systems Science for Policy Design and Regulation of a Resilient and Sustainable Global Economy, FP7 Collaborative project
||SYMPHONY aims at providing a set of innovative ICT tools, integrated in a platform designed to tackle issues concerning complex global dynamics of our economic and social system. The main objective of the project is to develop a framework for designing and testing policies and regulatory measures regarding:- preventing and mitigating economic and financial crises;- fostering an economically and ecologically sustainable growth path. SYMPHONY‘s strategy to successfully accomplish its mission is to orchestrate a set of tools that will be able to:- collect and analyse relevant information by means of social media mining tools and web-based information markets;- simulate the complex economic dynamics by means of an agent based model of the global economy, explicitly designed for policy making;- involve citizens in the decision making process through a serious game interface, and through a set of information markets on the artificial economy that will allow us to overcome the huge economic impasse of properly modelling expectations.Description

||SUNSEED proposes an evolutionary approach to utilisation of already present communication networks from both energy and telecom operators. These can be suitably connected to form a converged communication infrastructure for future smart energy grids offering open services. Life cycle of such communication network solutions consists of six steps: overlap, interconnect, interoperate, manage, plan and open. Joint communication networking operations steps start with analysis of regional overlap of energy and telecommunications operator infrastructures.
